Are You Colorado’s Best Putter? We Aim to Find Out!
The Colorado Golf Hall of Fame invites ALL golfers—men and women, girls and boys, juniors and seniors, professionals and amateurs—to participate next summer in the inaugural Colorado Putting Championship.TM
This unique championship will have three stages:
- Local Qualifying (June): Conducted on a single day on an 18-hole putting course at a participating golf facility. The top finishers from each facility advance to the Regional Championships.
- Regional Championship (July): A one-day event held at 16 designated facilities across the state. The player with the lowest score at each Regional Championship advances to the Colorado Putting Championship Finals.
- Championship Finals (August): Contested over a Friday and Saturday at The Broadmoor, the Home of the Colorado Golf Hall of Fame. The first day will be an 18-hole hole stroke play to determine seeding for the following day’s event. The second day will be match-play competition with a typical match-play bracket (1 vs. 16, 2 vs. 15, etc.) and format. The winner of the final match is crowned champion.
Finals competitors will be complimentary guests of the Colorado Golf Hall of Fame and provided a room accommodation at The Broadmoor on the Friday night prior to the Championship Finals.
Proceeds from the Colorado Putting Championship benefit the Golf History of Colorado Foundation, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit that funds the Colorado Golf Hall of Fame museum. Entry donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
