A century ago, Colorado golf pioneer Ella McLaughlin told her niece, “If you don’t want to be a golf widow, learn to play.” Ella cofounded the Colorado Women’s Golf Association in 1916 and became three-time state champion. And as of 2026, she is also a Colorado Golf Hall of Fame inductee, joining dozens of women who, ironically, preceded her into the Hall by following a trail she first blazed.
Their ranks include fellow torchbearers and golf champions—and women such as Judy Bell, who flourished as both. The Colorado Golf Hall of Fame hereby celebrates these inductees for their dedication to excellence, formidable achievements and enduring impact on the game for generations of women.
