On the day before the 54th CoBank Colorado Open, 60 mph winds carrying four inches of rain and hail forced the cancelation of the first round at Green Valley Ranch Golf Club, but thanks to the round-the-clock work of Course Superintendent Barry Kendall, the richest state open in the country—abbreviated to three rounds—was played, with players raving about the conditions.
